Softball Recap: Aquinas Comes Up Short

Memorial hit Aquinas with a six-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Red Devils, falling 12-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aquinas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Aquinas' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Memorial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-14.

Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Smithville on the 13th. As for Memorial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Newton Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
