Basketball Game Preview: Galt Warriors vs. Rosemont Wolverines

Galt hasn't had much luck against Rosemont recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Galt Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Rosemont Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Galt is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Whitney, falling 80-34. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1324th, while the Wildcats are ranked 129th).

Meanwhile, Rosemont lost to Burbank on the road by a 66-49 margin two weeks ago. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Galt will have to keep a close watch on Ja'Monte Cole and Gus Bailey, a pair of players who had a big impact on Rosemont's prior game. Cole went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and five steals, while Bailey almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Cole is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed five or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Takehara, who posted eight points.

Rosemont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Galt, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Galt was taken down by Rosemont 92-46 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rosemont's Xavior Scruggs, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.
