Volleyball Game Preview: Carlmont Scots vs. Branham Bruins

Carlmont has won three straight games at home, while Branham has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Scots will welcome the Bruins at 1:00 p.m.

Carlmont is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sequoia just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens.

Carlmont started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-20, 25-14, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Branham posted their closest victory since September 30th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Evergreen Valley 3-2.

Branham wouldn't go down easily and took Evergreen Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 19-25, 23-25, 15-11.

Carlmont's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Branham, they now have a winning record of 16-15.
