Volleyball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Comes Up Short

Tri-West Hendricks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the McCutcheon Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-14.

Gabe Miller paced Tri-West Hendricks' offense, picking up two kills. Miller got some help from Kaleb Pfeifer and his two assists. Finally, Landon Dinkel kept Tri-West Hendricks' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Khelan Patel was the offensive standout of the game as he had 15 digs. That's the most digs he has posted over his last six matchups. Mason Souligne also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Tri-West Hendricks' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for McCutcheon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mavericks beat Tri-West Hendricks by a score of 3-0 later that day.
