Baseball Game Preview: Great Neck South Rebels vs. Lawrence Gldn Tornadoes

For the second straight game, Great Neck South will face off against Lawrence. The Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Gldn Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Great Neck South has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Great Neck South couldn't beat Lawrence on Wednesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Rebels fell 15-10 to the Gldn Tornadoes.

Blake Furst and Jason Sun stepped up to the plate in a big way. Furst got on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Sun went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Lobdell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win got Lawrence back to even at 1-1. As for Great Neck South, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
