Basketball Game Preview: Battle Ground Tigers vs. Evergreen Plainsmen

Battle Ground and Evergreen are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Battle Ground Tigers will take on the Evergreen Plainsmen in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Ground will be strutting in after a win while Evergreen will be coming in after a loss.

Battle Ground will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Heritage, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Battle Ground enjoyed a cozy 41-25 victory over Heritage on Friday.

Battle Ground found their leader in sophomore Charlotte Clarke, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Clarke. Another player making a difference was Charlie Jones, who had six points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Evergreen lost to Union at home by a 68-49 margin on Friday.

Battle Ground's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Evergreen, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Battle Ground took a serious blow against Evergreen in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-19. Can Battle Ground avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
