Football Recap: North Bergen Piles Up the Points Against Ferris

North Bergen had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over the Ferris Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Bruins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alexier Deleon produced another solid performance rushing for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.

Another reason for the win was North Bergen's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. George Tamer was especially locked on to Ferris' QB and sacked him twice. Tamer has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played.

North Bergen's record now sits at 6-1. As for Ferris, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, North Bergen will square off against Fort Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ferris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
