Basketball Recap: John Paul II Takes a Loss

John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 76-51 to the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-44 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why John Paul II lost, don't look at Dj Miller. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 20 en route to 32 points in addition to eight steals and six boards. That was a full 62.7% of John Paul II's points, marking the 14th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Marco Rao was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.

John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-17.

As of now, neither John Paul II nor New Braunfels Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
