Softball Recap: Carroll County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Carroll County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Bellevue on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 17-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Carroll County, bringing their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Bellevue, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll County will venture away from home to square off against Williamstown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellevue, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Bellevue Tigers challenge Ludlow Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
