Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Cosumnes Oaks + How To Watch

Cosumnes Oaks had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Elk Grove Thundering Herd. This was a revenge game for the Wolfpack: when they faced off against the Thundering Herd back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

While Cosumnes Oaks might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Elk Grove scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 25-19.

Jordyn Jackson paced Cosumnes Oaks' offense, picking up 16 kills. Jackson got some help from Samantha Guingab and her 17 assists. Jackson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Cosumnes Oaks' victory bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Elk Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cosumnes Oaks will square off against rival Laguna Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Elk Grove is set to face off against their familiar foe Monterey Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
