DeWitt had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-4 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the McGehee Owls as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The Dragons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for McGehee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with DeWitt: they've now lost nine in a row.

For McGehee's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madilynn Green, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. DeWitt will head out to face off against Rison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McGehee, they will square off against Stuttgart at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
