Football Game Preview: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Centennial Bulldogs

The Silverado Skyhawks will venture away from home to square off against the Centennial Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither Silverado nor Centennial posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Silverado will head into Wednesday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 48-6 loss at the hands of Southeast Career Tech. The Skyhawks have struggled against the Roadrunners recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 39-8 defeat at the hands of Bishop Gorman.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Silverado, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Silverado ended up a good deal behind Centennial in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, losing 20-6. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Centennial's Taylor West, who threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 62 yards.
