Waterloo had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Wayne on Wednesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 18-5 margin over the Eagles. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Waterloo's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Wayne, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Waterloo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
