While Isle of Wight Academy's win against The Covenant wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted since March 31st.

Jason Chapman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Hearn, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Isle of Wight Academy's record now sits at 7-5. As for The Covenant, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Isle of Wight Academy will take on Hampton Roads Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Covenant, they will host Roanoke Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
