Volleyball Recap: Wilson Central Takes a Loss

Wilson Central lost against Upperman back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bees. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bees 25-21 in the first set.

Wilson Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.

Shayla Burchett was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for Wilson Central and nudges their season record down to 7-14. As for Upperman, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-8.

Wilson Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Smyrna on the 6th. As for Upperman, they will be playing at home against Livingston Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
