The Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Monrovia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Roncalli, falling 3-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard had strong showings from Andrew Moriarty, who had 17 digs and two assists, and Maddox Wynk, who had 14 assists and five digs. Wynk is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Monrovia didn't have quite enough to beat Franklin Community on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Grizzly Cubs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Monrovia sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-4.
Having lost for the first time this season, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard fell to 4-1. As for Monrovia, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard was able to grind out a solid victory over Monrovia when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
