Recap: Montgomery Central Indians vs. McEwen Warriors
The Montgomery Central Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to McEwen 47-43. Montgomery Central has struggled against McEwen recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Yarbrough, who scored 17 points. The match was Yarbrough's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Christian Fox, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Montgomery Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for McEwen, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. As for McEwen, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Perry County at 7:30 p.m.
