After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tampa Catholic, St. Petersburg was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They strolled past the Keswick Christian Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. For the Green Devils, this counts as revenge for the 50-38 win the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

St. Petersburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shaw Summer, who went 5-for-12 en route to 9 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caidyn White, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Keswick Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Maya Devega, who posted 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Angel L'Eon, who put up seven points and 13 rebounds.

The victory got St. Petersburg back to even at 1-1. As for Keswick Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

St. Petersburg will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Countryside at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Keswick Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-28 victory against Gibbs on the 21st.
