Baseball Recap: Seminole's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Seminole waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Prague Red Devils. This was payback for the Chieftains, who suffered a 9-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Landon Bowling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Seminole is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-14 otherwise. Bowling was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Crew Lindley, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lupe Vesquez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Seminole's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-15. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Prague, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Seminole does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prague, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Davenport on the 28th.
