It was fun while it lasted, but Garaway's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They came up short against the Hiland Hawks, falling 60-40. The loss was the Pirates' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Garaway fell to 3-1. As for Hiland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Garaway is taking a road trip to square off against Indian Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Hiland, they will be home for the holidays to greet Tuscarawas Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiland is facing Tuscarawas Valley at the right time seeing as Tuscarawas Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
