Hernando has gone 9-1 against Madison Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tigers will host the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. Hernando's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Madison Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Meanwhile, Madison Central made easy work of Oxford on Thursday and carried off an 11-4 win. Considering the Jaguars have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Elizabeth Pullen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Pullen was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Phyfer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Anna Smith was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Madison Central and bumps their season record up to 7-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Hernando, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-3.

Everything went Hernando's way against Madison Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Hernando made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
