Recap: Johnson-Brock Eagles vs. Diller-Odell Griffin
The Johnson-Brock Eagles put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Diller-Odell 72-34 on the road. Considering Johnson-Brock has won ten contests by more than 22 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Johnson-Brock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lleyton Behrends, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Behrends scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Koehler, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Johnson-Brock's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Diller-Odell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Johnson-Brock won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Johnson County Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Johnson County Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Johnson-Brock is ranked 18th). As for Diller-Odell, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern on Tuesday.
