Recap: Sparta Spartans vs. Baraboo Thunderbirds
The Sparta Spartans's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They managed a 54-48 victory over Baraboo. The win was just what Sparta needed coming off of a 71-32 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sparta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tiana Leis, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corin Milne, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Sparta's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Baraboo, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparta will challenge La Crosse Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (La Crosse Central is ranked 237th, while Sparta is ranked 230th). As for Baraboo, they will head out on the road to face off against Reedsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
