Soccer Recap: Metter Comes Up Short

Metter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Screven County Gamecocks. While losing is never fun, Metter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Screven County are ranked 130th).

Metter's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Screven County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Metter is set to face off against their familiar foe Bryan County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Screven County will take on rival McIntosh County Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
