Softball Game Preview: Waimea Menehunes vs. Leilehua Mighty Mules

The Waimea Menehunes will head out on the road to square off against the Leilehua Mighty Mules at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waimea hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Waimea is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Kapa'a, who was ranked seventh at the time (Waimea was ranked 17th). The Menehunes came up short against the Warriors on Saturday, falling 32-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Leilehua lost 10-1 to Kapolei on Thursday. The match marked the Mighty Mules' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Waimea's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Leilehua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
