Volleyball Recap: Cotopaxi Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cotopaxi lost against Center back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-19.

Hayden Eggleston paced Cotopaxi's offense, picking up four kills. Eggleston got some help from Illiana Herrera and her four assists. Eggleston was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Center to victory were Kendra Gomez Gonzalez and Maliyah Romero. Gomez Gonzalez had nine digs and one assist, while Romero had seven digs. Emiliana Valdez also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Cotopaxi now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Center, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Cotopaxi wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Elbert on the 13th. As for Center, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Rocky Ford on the 13th.
