Basketball Game Preview: Gardena Panthers vs. Compton Tarbabes

The Gardena Panthers will take on the Compton Tarbabes at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Gardena has given up an average of 57.3 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gardena is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Rancho Dominguez just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Lobos, falling 78-56.

Compton not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since November 19, 2025 (when they won 81-45). They blew past Ocean View, posting an 86-59 win.

Gardena's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Compton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Everything came up roses for Gardena against Compton in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 79-38 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tarbabes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
