Pinewood Prep came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cathedral Academy Generals as they made off with a 72-49 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Jayden Alexander was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points. Jonathan Slawson was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Pinewood Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Pinewood Prep pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.3 points. As for Cathedral Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-11.

Pinewood Prep has already played their next game, a 69-59 loss against Porter-Gaud on the 7th. As for Cathedral Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-48 win against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics on the 6th.
