Basketball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwestern Piasa Birds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 35-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Southwestern, they moved to 8-13 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-42 loss against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] on the 27th. Southwestern has also already played their next game, a 44-24 defeat against Edinburg/South Fork on the 29th.
