Softball Recap: Daniel Comes Up Short

Daniel lost to Seneca back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Bobcats, falling 9-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daniel saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maria Bowers, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Daniel's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Seneca, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Daniel will face off against rival Berea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Seneca is set to challenge their familiar foe Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 3.5, the Fighting Tigers 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
