Basketball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova lost against Lumen Christi two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cordova Wolverines took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumen Christi Archangels. The Wolverines just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Amara Warren was her usual excellent self, putting up 16 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals for Lumen Christi. Warren has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 40 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Muller, who posted 12 points.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lumen Christi, they moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Cordova didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 25-23 win against Petersburg on the 31st. As for Lumen Christi, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 36-34 victory against Hooper Bay on the 31st.
