Softball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Comes Up Short

Upper Perkiomen extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-14-1. They lost 15-0 to the Perkiomen Valley Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 back in April.

As for Perkiomen Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games.

For Perkiomen Valley's part, Peyton Mears was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lily Petaccio, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Coming up, Upper Perkiomen will square off against Quakertown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Perkiomen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
