Girard is 2-8 against Struthers since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Girard Indians will head out on the road to take on the Struthers Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Girard is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.

Girard's 16-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 47-26 walloping at the hands of Poland Seminary on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Girard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while Poland Seminary is ranked 197th).

Meanwhile, Struthers' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 58-44 fall against Hubbard.

Girard's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Struthers, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Girard might still be hurting after the 58-36 loss they got from Struthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Girard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
