Handley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 win over Talladega on Tuesday. Handley pushed the score to 43-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Talladega cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Randolph County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Saks by a score of 47-45. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Wildcats are ranked 133rd).

Randolph County's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Handley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Everything came up roses for Handley against Randolph County in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 71-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Handley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
