Softball Recap: Pulaski Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pulaski, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships on Monday. With that win, the Red Raiders brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Addison Luebke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Pulaski got a massive performance out of Paige Abendroth, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Abendroth has posted since back in April. Kianna Altendorf also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Pulaski hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Pulaski's record now sits at 6-9. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pulaski beat the Ships by a score of 2-1 later that day.
