            Baseball Recap: Tates Creek Commodores vs. Lexington Catholic Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Tates Creek had lost three straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-11 to make it four. They came up short against  the Lexington Catholic Knights, falling  10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Commodores have suffered  since March 25th.
 Tates Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jordan Huguely, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base. That  stolen base marked the first that  Huguely has  snagged this season.
As for Lexington Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-1. They have beaten Tates Creek the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Tates Creek has come to flipping the script.
On Lexington Catholic's side,  the result came thanks to  Jack Sams's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up seven Ks. Sams has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jake Scott, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Christopher Vittitow, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
While Tates Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
