After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bel Air, Del Valle was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Horizon Scorpions by a score of 4-2. Given the Conquistadores' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd in Texas, while the Scorpions are ranked 446th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Del Valle hit Horizon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gael Perez (2), Luis Ramirez, and Francisco Garcia.

Del Valle is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those seven matchups. Horizon's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.
