Softball Recap: Paetow Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Paetow, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Jones Trojans on Thursday.

ABIGAIL MARTINAK made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. MARTINAK was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, GLORYA HOWLAND was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was MIKAYLA FRANCIS, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Paetow's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Jones, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Paetow will challenge Alice at 9:45 a.m. on Friday. Paetow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Jones, they will host Lyford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
