Soccer Recap: Spartanburg Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Spartanburg was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Dorman Cavaliers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Spartanburg dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Dorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Spartanburg and Dorman will both be playing James F. Byrnes the next time they take the pitch. Dorman will head out to face James F. Byrnes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Spartanburg will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
