Basketball Recap: Mountainside Comes Up Short

Mountainside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-35 loss at the hands of the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 77-49 to the Crimson Knights when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mountainside's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Trivium Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Mountainside and Wickenburg will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. The Wolves will be up against the Wranglers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.55 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Trivium Prep, they and Glendale Prep Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played.
