Basketball Recap: Stoneham Takes a Loss

Stoneham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Belmont Marauders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (59), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Stoneham's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Belmont, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stoneham will face off against rival Wilmington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Belmont is set to square off against their familiar foe Reading Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
