Catholic Central strolled into their game on Friday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let the West Catholic Falcons get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 29th.

Not much got past A Owen, who gave up just four hits to keep West Catholic off the board. Owen has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on J Buchanan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Catholic Central's win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-0-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for West Catholic, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-6.
