Verrado has gone a perfect 3-0 against Paradise Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Vipers will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Verrado had won two straight games and Alyssa Ortiz did her part to make it three on Thursday. Everything went the Vipers' way against Desert Edge as they made off with a 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Ortiz, who had 18 kills, five digs, and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Verrado never let Desert Edge on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

Taylor Thomas and Elleana Bejarano were among the main playmakers for Verrado as the former had seven aces and three digs and the latter had seven digs. Those seven aces gave Thomas a new career-high.
