Football Game Preview: Ruskin Golden Eagles vs. Fort Osage Indians

Ruskin hasn't had much luck against Fort Osage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Eagles will face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Ruskin has given up an average of 33.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Ruskin took on Raytown on Friday. The Golden Eagles took a blow against the Bluejays, falling 49-8. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Bluejays are ranked 100th).

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Fort Osage and Oak Park had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Indians and the Northmen were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Indians suffered a 29-28 defeat. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Northmen: they've now lost three in a row.

Ruskin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fort Osage, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Ruskin took a serious blow against Fort Osage in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 49-6. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Golden Eagles were down 35-0.
