Football Recap: Mcnairy Central Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

McNairy Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 14-0 fall against the Fayette Academy Vikings on Friday. Despite 51 more yards than the Vikings, the Bobcats couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, McNairy Central still got an impressive performance from Jerdarian Campbell, who picked up 74 receiving yards, and also rushed for 40 yards.

The critical scores for Fayette Academy came from Clay Anderson and Hardy Armour.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNairy Central will face off against Belmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayette Academy, they will square off against Rossville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
