Basketball Recap: Telluride Takes a Loss

Telluride lost against Nucla back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Telluride Miners were outmatched by the Nucla Mustangs and fell 75-35. The Miners just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Brycen Rummel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Nucla, shooting 60% from the field on his way to 23 points along with seven assists and five boards. Rummel has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 39 times he's played. Caylon Joseph was another key player, going 6-for-7 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Telluride's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Nucla, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Telluride nor Nucla have any future games scheduled.
