Recap: Calhoun Tigers vs. Keith Bears
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Calhoun Tigers had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They beat the Bears by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 48-44. Winning may never get old, but Calhoun sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Calhoun got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Robertson out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Robertson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kentavius Loftin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Calhoun has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Keith, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-12.
Calhoun will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against South Lamar at 4:45 p.m. on February 19th. South Lamar will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Calhoun surely won't give up without a fight. Keith does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
