Softball Game Preview: MacDonald Condor vs. Santa Clara Bruins

The MacDonald Condor will face off against the Santa Clara Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. MacDonald has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

MacDonald is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Cupertino just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 14-4 to the Pioneers.

MacDonald saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ileyah Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another was Kyra Reid, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Santa Clara came up short against Terra Nova on Tuesday and fell 8-4. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasmine (Jazzy) Ramirez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Guzman, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Santa Clara, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
