Basketball Recap: Denbigh Baptist Christian Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hampton Christian Academy, Denbigh Baptist Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against Yeshivas Aish Kodesh Talmudical Academy as the Denbigh Baptist Christian Minutemen made off with a 66-42 victory. The Minutemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Denbigh Baptist Christian to victory were Joshua Kinney and Tryston Mitchell. Kinney posted 20 points, while Mitchell had 20 points. Kinney's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Fox, who put up nine points.

Denbigh Baptist Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.9 points. As for Yeshivas Aish Kodesh Talmudical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Denbigh Baptist Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-32 loss against Portsmouth Christian on the 10th. As for Yeshivas Aish Kodesh Talmudical Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Suffolk Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
