Football Recap: Emily Elizondo's Menacing Defense Leads Loara over Laguna Beach

Loara had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the Laguna Beach Breakers with a 12-7 win on Tuesday.

The critical scores for Loara came from Kaylee Neri and Melissa Monje.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Loara's defense and their three sacks. Emily Elizondo was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two herself.

Loara wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 25-7 loss against Valencia on the 13th. As for Laguna Beach, they are taking a road trip to face off against Savanna at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
